Craig Thomson

Dr Craig Thomson is a Research Fellow located within the School and is currently involved in the EPSRC sponsored SUE-MoT (Sustainable Urban Environment- Metrics, Models and Toolkits) research program. His research focuses on assessing the role of knowledge within the sustainability assessment context.

Craig holds an undergraduate MA (Hons) Geography degree, where he developed an interest in urban development and regeneration. Following this he spent 5 years with the Construction Management Research Unit at the University of Dundee where he completed both an MRes and a PhD, in addition to being involved in a variety of other research projects with academic and industrial partners. Craig has a strong interest in the areas of innovation management within construction projects, knowledge management, the influence of design and management within social housing on tenant behaviour, maintenance management and the role of knowledge transfer and learning for achieving sustainability. Prior to joining the school he worked in local government.
